EIA Specialist Studies

AES offers services for undertaking freshwater, estuarine and marine specialist baseline and ecological assessments for Environmental Impact Assessments. We have experience throughout Africa and are familiar with the World Bank standards and International Finance Corporation (IFC) performance standards for conducting specialist EIA studies. We also offer services to continue with post-EIA monitoring studies to ensure project compliance with regulatory standards.

We have experience in linear infrastructure projects (for example marine telecommunications cable landing sites Amamzintoti and Algoa Bay), marine jetty, harbour and breakwater infrastructure (for example Toliara Marine Assessment, Ghana Marine Assessment), marine receiving environment assessments (for example Kenmare Pilivilli Assessment, London Mining Assessment Sierra Leone Estuary component, Guinea Bissau Iron Ore Bulk transportation assessment, Cameroon estuary assessment) estuarine infrastructure assessments (Port Alfred Reverse Osmosis plant assessment). We have also conducted numerous freshwater impact assessments including the Ancuabe graphite mine freshwater assessment, the Kerio, Arror and Kimwarer Rivers critical habitats assessments, Olam Kateshi Coffee Estate aquatic assessment.
