Electronic Data Collection & Management Systems
AES provides services for development of electronic data collection forms for livelihoods, households and sector specific surveys. This includes survey design, form development, training of enumerators and project management teams and providing ongoing support and hardware. Each form is custom designed with built in quality control procedures to ensure data quality and accuracy. Data can be regularly synchronised with a web-based server allowing for a central data repository for projects which span large geographic areas, and allowing other project members access to data remotely.
For ongoing long-term projects web-based databases can be designed to report on key project indicators and allow near real time access to incoming data. This also allows project management indicators to be developed which ensure managers can track the progress of enumerators spatially and in terms of their data submissions on a regular basis. Examples of such programmes include the Bas Ogooué livelihoods assessment, WWF Upper Zambezi Household Survey and Landscape Survey, Oguemoué Catch Assessment Survey, Cuito and Cubango Catch Assessment Surveys, Fish 4 Food Eastern Province CAS.
