Each EMP begins with the development of a Situation Assessment detailing the existing status of the estuary (social, environmental, infrastructure, governance). This information is used to inform the development of the management plan. The process of drafting each EMP involves rigorous stakeholder consultation through the use of knowledge sharing workshops. Each EMP includes a vision, strategic objectives and zonation plan. Management action plans detailing time frames, budgets, responsibilities and outcomes are produced for each objective.
